Good Morning Tuesdayyyy!
It's Tuesday, November 27th, and time for your daily dose of SkinOwl Inspiration! I love this time of day :) Let's get to it.
As many times I wish there were more hours in a day, I could not be happier that every day comes to an end and we awake in the morning with a clean slate. Sleep not only calms our central nervous system, but gives life's issues perspective. When we take a step back, we give distance to the issues in our life, and as we know, the more distance, the more we heal.
Of course, sometimes days turn into weeks, weeks turn into months, and before we know it, the things that need tackling seem like big, black dark holes. Insurmountable. Impossible. It's like a big stack of papers that need to be filed. Where do we begin? How do you start? In these instances, it's easy to feel like "how things are" is "how it will always be."
The good news is that, in life, we get several chances and choices. If you don't think so, just ask anyone who survived drug addiction, bankruptcy, or a tumultuous childhood. Without choices, these things don't change just "because." But luckily, BECAUSE we are lucky enough to have a new lease on life everyday we wake up, these changes become possible.
No matter how long it's been since something has changed for the better, or how deep the hole you're in feels, life is too short not to make moves. Life is truly SO fleeting and there is nothing more important than doing exactly what you want to do, when you feel like doing it. What is TRULY the worst that could happen? You're back where you started? I promise you won't stay there for long, once you take the first leap of faith.
So, get a good night's sleep, take a step back, and begin moving your life in the direction you want. One foot in front of the other. Before you know it, you'll have made a quantum leap.
